Rory has left Juice Fm Liverpool. After 14 months, Rory has taken the slot up year on year in reach and hours. Rory also successfully managed and coached 14 specialist presenters - making up over 40 hours a week of the station's output. Rory's departure comes at the same at the early point in Rory's recovery from major shoulder surgery. Rory will therefore announce his new role once he has recovered in September '08.

Rory's RAJAR Q4 2007 results have seen him equal the Juice fm's breakfast show audience figures. He has retained this with his Q1 2008 results. His audience figures are now only marginally less than half that of Radio City's Drive-time DJ. Rory's show is bigger than Radio 1's Drive-time DJ Scott Mills, within Juice fm's transmission area.

***Posted Thursday 16th August 2007************************************

It has been announced today that Rory will be looking after the specialist line up on Juice Fm. All 14 DJ's will receive coaching and reviews with Rory's aim of ensuring they continue to create quality innovative output whilst at the same time ensuring that they fit within the loose framework that Juice Fm requires for the upholding of the brand in the ears of it's listeners.

Rory left Galaxy officially on April 2nd 2007. He is currently in London, and looks forward to announcing his new signing within the next month or so.

****Posted Sunday 1st October 2006***********************************

Rory is now working full-time for Galaxy North East, based in Newcastle. His show times are; Mon - Fri 1pm-4pm; Sun 12-4pm.

The weekday shows are on FM in the North East and on DAB. His Sunday show is national on Sky/NTL/Telewest and on-line and on DAB around Greater London, Leicester, Nottingham and Central Scotland.

Rory says .. "Galaxy has been on my mind for the last two years, and here i am. I have felt ready to move onto a bigger station since the start of the year. It's a great chance to build on what i had before, to learn new skills and meet some new people. I'm slightly that my body and brain might not be able to cope with the weekend lifestyle that many people love living!"

Rory is now 'Rory Kay' for on-air purposes, and officially starts on Mon 2nd October 2006 at 1pm.

****Posted Monday 14th August 2006**********************************

Rory has announced that he will be leaving Vibe Fm within the next month. After 4 1/2 years of commitment to the Vibe brand, he says "..landing a slot on Vibe in 2002 was a dream come true...it almost felt like i had skipped a chapter of my career.." The recent news comes just days after Emap publically anounced that Vibe 105/8 will become a Kiss.

Rory started working on Vibe Fm during his third year of studying Geography at Loughborough University, travelling every Friday to do his one show a week. Since November 2003 he has broadcasted Sundays to Thursdays 7pm-10pm to East Anglia. Rory will be remembered both on and off-air as being the only DJ to ever lock himself out of the building (for 2 1/2 hours) whilst doing an overnight show on Vibe.

During his time at Vibe, he took his shows to their all time audience highs, a sign of his true dedication, willingness to learn and ability to connect with his audience. In addition, Rory has been the face of the station for school/college tours, media talks, Vibe PA's and charity events. Adding to his acclaim, he has also hosted some major guests for Vibe, including 50 Cent and Jamie Foxx, to name but a few.

He Adds "..I am going to miss Vibe a LOT, it's been my first gig! It's the feeling you get when you think back to the experiences you've had with your first partner. I have a lot of fond memories of the Vibe studios! After going to industry parties and other stations, i have realised what a good bunch of REAL people we have at Vibe. The station has gone through that many changes, but everytime it gets better. Thanks to Paul Saunders for my first opportunity, and to Gary Robinson for being a great 'radio daddy', along with Paul, the best two anyone in the industry could ever hope for..!"

Rory continues "..I'm a stage where i'm ready for a location change, new experiences, new methods of learning, new people. I would have loved to have seen the brand change through, as i think it's going to be a great thing for the Vibe fans and new listeners alike, but i'm not going to be around. I have amitions to fulfill. The world is dynamic, and i'm a dynamic person, ready to embark on a new adventure!.."

So raise your glass, a toast to the man with no surname, known around the office as Roland, Mr K and *** ***!
