Rory Kay - Media Consultancy

Rory has worked for some of the largest commercial radio groups in the U.K, including GWR, SRH, GCAP, EMAP, CHRYSALIS and more recently the UTV Radio Group. In this time he has aquired an in depth knowledge of the protocols and formats required by each group with regard CHR and Hot AC stations.

Since April 2002, he has been involved with the mentoring of university students who have undertaken student radio as a stepping stone to gaining industry experience. Rory uses his knowledge of the radio industry, along with his own on-air experience to coach and develop students to prepare them for sending out their first demos, with the aim of getting work at a later date. Rory has been working with LCR1350am's Eddy Elton, providing Eddy with show analysis over the last year. Eddy recently picked up Silver in the 2007 Radio 1 Student Radio Awards.
